Christina Aguilera Is Highest Paid Judge on 'The Voice'

On NBC’s hit singing competition, The Voice, Christina Aguilera often seems like she’s the one calling the shots and having the last word—and that’s no fluke. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Aguilera makes more than $225,000 an episode for The Voice, which is $150,000 more per episode than fellow voice judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green, who each earn $75,000 per episode.

Jennifer Lopez's $12 Million 'American Idol' Deal

It’s difficult to say how Xtina’s paycheck measures up to fellow Latina, Jennifer Lopez’s salary on American Idol, because FOX has only revealed J.Lo’s salary for the entire 10th season, which was $12 million for her first year as an Idol judge. Still, the fact that Xtina commands so much more money than her fellow judges speaks to how valuable she is in the eyes of the show's executive producer, Mark Burnett.

CONFIRMED: Christina Aguilera Joining Cee Lo, Adam Levine on 'The Voice'

Xtina and her fellow judges are on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter this week and they told THR how The Voice is different from other singing competitions. “Bashing the performers for 30 seconds of TV might be juicy or interesting to the viewer, but I just wasn’t into all of that. [Mark Burnett] convinced me that that’s not what this is about,” said Aguilera. Christina adds that she loves mentoring the talent on the show. “It’s nice to have something so exciting in my life but not feel the pressure to be in the forefront as an entertainer myself," she said.
