Dancing Colombian police salsa with England U20 team at airport

England's U20 World Cup has begun with a bit of swagger after they flew into Colombia and danced with salsa swinging uniformed police

Brian Eastwick's squad touched down in Medellin on Monday night and were given a warm welcome - to say the least - as female guards rushed towards the players and danced with them.

The obvious height difference ended up working perfectly for the guards who were dazzled and spun around by amused players.

With their South American rhythm now intact, the U-20s will be hoping they can get a result against North Korea in their first group match of the tournament which takes place on Friday.

The players have had good preparations - visiting a high-altitude training camp in Denver, Colorado, to adjust to conditions.

Striker Michael Ngoo says everybody is looking forward to England's first match and was one of the first to join in on the dancing.

'The welcoming was very enjoyable and was a good laugh,' the Liverpool ace told FA TV.

'There was no turning back when the female guards came up and wanted to dance.

'We've got a lot of expectations to live up to here in Colombia as there is a lot of interest in England, but I'm just looking forward to getting out on the pitch and performing.'
