Treating dementia and Alzheimers with physical activity like dancing helps study reveals

The National Institute on Aging paid  New York’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine to research whether physical activity could actually make or keep people sharp. The 21 year study found that activity like dancing can increase brain capacity and keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay in the twilight years of life.

It is therefor advantageous to start an exercise program right away. If you would like to start dancing salsa or ballroom, just call your local dance studio. You may be a little nervous at first but group classes are fun and are only around $10 for an hour class.

Below is a 87-year-old woman dancing the salsa and letting us know that dancing is something that can be enjoyed by all, no matter what the age.
