Jessica Alba sues: I never endorsed post-pregnancy device

Have you heard of the Belly Bandit? We didn't think so. Actress Jessica Alba hasn't either, but apparently that didn't stop the company from publishing a testimonial on its website that claims the actress uses its product. Now, she is suing.

According to TMZ, Jessica states in the lawsuit that the company "prominently featured and posted a photograph of Alba, and listed her name under the 'Celebrity Testimonials' section of their website."

The lawsuit also says that Belly Bandit's packaging even features an endorsement that says, "Jessica Alba's #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!"

Jessica is suing for more than $1 million in damages and wants a cut of the profits earned by using her name to endorse the product.

The Belly Bandit is a postpartum weight - loss device. The company's Testimonial section also features endorsements by celebrities Christina Applegate, Minnie Driver, Poppy Montgomery and Kourtney Kardashian. Jessica's testimonial has been removed since TMZ's published report.

Alba Drops the F-Bomb… for a Good Cause!

Break out the bar of soap! Jessica Alba has been caught on camera dropping the F-bomb…

Don’t worry though, it’s all for a good cause!

The Mexican-American actress appears in a new PSA created by the anti-poverty advocacy group ONE.

Titled “The F Word: Famine is the Real Obscenity,” the minute-long clip aims to bring attention to the devastating famine occurring in Somalia. Other celebrities appearing in the PSA include George Clooney, Bono, Rob Lowe, Joe Jonas and Colin Farrell.

The Horn of Africa, the peninsula in East Africa that’s home to Ethiopia and Somalia is currently experiencing the worst drought in more than 60 years and it’s threatening the lives of more than 12 million people.

“More than 30,000 children have died in just three months. Mothers are forced to decide who to feed and who to let die. In 2011? That’s obscene,” says U2 lead singer Bono. “There are things that can be done, and if we really believe the life of a child in East Africa is worth the same as the lives of our own children, we have to act.”

The PSA is calling for the African governments provide the $650 million needed for assistance, and to fulfill their commitment to invest $22 billion in agriculture for African governments.

Jessica Alba: Two Kids Take Parenthood to ‘Another Level’

Pregnancy certainly hasn’t slowed this mom-to-be down! Between film promotions, starting a company, and being mom to 3-year-old daughter Honor Marie, Jessica Alba has been keeping busy.

“It’s a really exciting and fun time,” the Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World star, 30, tells PEOPLE of expecting her second child.

“It feels like you’re really officially, really truly a mom when you have two kids. [With] one kid you’re a mom for sure, but two takes it to another level.”

The actress has been getting the nursery ready, re-finishing second-hand furniture for the room. “I use stains and paints that are eco-friendly and safe,” she explains.

While her husband, Cash Warren may not share her passion for vintage furniture and the work that comes along with it, he is happy to pitch in where needed. “He’s been very agreeable since I’ve been pregnant,” she says with a grin.

Alba has also devoted much of her time to The Honest Company, an ecommerce eco-friendly baby brand — named for her daughter — which will launch in the coming months. “Hopefully other parents love it as much as I do. I put my heart into it,” she says of the start-up.

But don’t count this entrepreneurial mommy out of acting.

“Doing the Spy Kids movie I got a taste of doing action again,” the former Dark Angel star says. “I liked it and I miss it … I’m really looking forward to finding a good action project. I was trained for so long on doing my own stunts.”

As for adding to their growing family in the future?

“I just turned 30. It’s hard to tell what will happen,” she says. “But I’m set for now.”

Best Dressed: 2011 Met Costume Institute Gala

The biggest night in fashion didn't disappoint — Zoe Saldana was a ray of light in Calvin Klein, Jennifer Lopez was a showstopper in Gucci and Salma Hayek continued to pay homage to Alexander McQueen. The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" gala was a night of stunning fashion and beautiful stars.

Jennifer Lopez showed the other attendees how it is done when she arrived in this fuschia Gucci halter gown with a matching floral shrug and clutch.

Less is definitely more with Zoe Saldana in a beautiful yellow Calvin Klein minimalist strapless gown with a gold Platt boutique necklace.

Honorary chair of the gala Salma Hayek kept with the theme of the night in a nude one-shoulder, rosette-embellished Alexander McQueen gown.

Gisele Bundchen looked too good to be true in a red strapless Alexander McQueen gown and retro waves.
Eva Mendes stood out in an electric blue Stella McCartney one-sleeved pleated dress with a gold belt and Fred Leighton jewelry.
Penelope Cruz stuck with what works in a black Oscar de la Renta mermaid-hemmed gown with a feather clutch and Chopard jewels.

Jessica Alba took her pregnancy glow one step further with a champagned-colored Ralph Lauren strapless gown with beaded detail.

Nicole Richie was ultra-glam in a white vintage gown, custom House of Harlow 1960 jewelry and a black Christian Louboutin clutch.
Rosario Dawson made a nice entrance and an even more stunning exit with her black sequin backless column gown.

La La Vazquez glowed in a nude-colored one-shoulder Vera Wang gown.
Sofia Vergara wore her favorite designer, Carolina Herrera, yet again on the red carpet. She chose a strapless floral print gown with Harry Winston jewels.

On the arm of her husband Josh Duhamel, Fergie traded her usual rocker look for a romantic Marchesa mermaid gown with Harry Winston jewels.
Edgy Cassie brought her unique style to the red carpet with a custom Rag & Bone blue-and-black dress, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Christian Louboutin stilettos.

Thalia joined the short list of pregnant stars at the gala in a dark sequined one-shoulder, high-slit gown with nude peep toes and hoop earrings.

Latino Stars Who Rule the Twitterverse

Here's a round-up of our fave celebs to follow on Twitter and why:

Mariah Carey: @MariahCarey

Perez Hilton: @PerezHilton

Why You Should Follow: Perez may have started “Hollywood’s Most Hated Website” but the gossip king shows nothing but love to his celeb friends on Twitter. From Lady Gaga to Selena Gomez, Hilton is always dishing with the biggest stars. His recent Blue Ball birthday party was an example of how much Hollywood actually loves the Cuban blogger, everyone and their mother was in attendance.

Selena Gomez: @selenagomez
Twitter Followers: 4,576,033

Jessica Alba: @jessicaalba
Twitter Followers: 1,185,792

Why You Should Follow: Jessica Alba’s Twitter account is refreshingly mundane for an A-list Hollywood starlet. She uses the service to share cute photos of with friends and family and occasionally pick a funny fight with hubby Cash Warren (also a rabid Tweeter) over American Idol. But she also dropped a big bomb earlier this year via the social networking tool, telling fans and followers that she was pregnant with baby number 2 before any tabloid was able to break the news.

Typical Tweet: “Sorry @cash_warren no matter how much you practice you will never sound like Jacob Lusk.”
