Year In Review 2011: Best Dressed Latino Celebrities

2011 might not have been the best year for Latinos with regards to politics, education or immigration reform, but when it came to fashion, Latinos most certainly hit all the right notes.

We saw Latino celebrities readily making it to "Best Dressed" lists. TV star and activist Eva Longoria was praised by fashion commentators for her black Zac Posen gown at the 2011 Golden Globes awards. Similarly, film, TV and music star Selena Gomez was complimented for the golden body-fitted J Mendel dress she wore to this year's Grammy Awards.

The wave of recognition continued as legendary Peruvian fashion photographer, Mario Testino, was honored at El Museo del Barrio's Annual Gala in May. His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair and he has contributed to the imagery of leading fashion houses such as Burberry, Gucci, Versace, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss, making him one the world's most renowned contemporary fashion photographers.

In 2011 we saw Latinos and Latinas experimenting and taking new risks with their fashion styles, at the forefront of new trends. They were often visibly influenced by their Latino roots and culture, seen in their choice of wearing up-and-coming designers, bold colors, organic textiles and prints, reinforcing the stereotypical sensuality or 'hotness' associated with Latinos.

The slideshow below reflects our opinion as to some of the best dressed Latinos of 2011. It includes men and women, musicians and films stars, models and fashion designers.

Do you agree with this list? Who do you think is THE best dressed Latino celebrity this year? Please share your thoughts in the comments below. And for more on the best of 2011, visit bestof2011.aol.com.

Camilla Belle, the L.A. native of Brazilian descent, is our choice as the most fashionable Latina of 2011. Her impeccable taste and eye for elegance makes her one of Hollywood's most fashionable stars.

Belle has been working in Hollywood since she 7 years old and landed a role in the made-for-TV "Empty Cradle".

In 2011, she dazzled in a pink corset dress at the Chopard reopening celebration of their South Coast Plaza boutique in Orange County. She proved that one can be classic and still have fun with fashion at The Young Hollywood Awards, where she wore a white Tom Ford suit.

Her eye for fashion took her to the runway this year. Alberta Ferretti picked "real people" to walk the runway at her 2011 Pitti Immagine Uomo 79 fashion show in Florence and Belle was one of her chosen models. She donned a beautiful low-cut silver dress. She won over the crowd.

In this picture, Belle attends LACMA Art Film Gala Honoring Clint Eastwood and John Baldessari Presented By Gucci at Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Nov. 5, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.

Marc Anthony setting his sights on hot Mexican model

Rumors come and go, and although it's only been a few weeks since there was talk of a possible connection between Marc Anthony and Mexican singer-actress Sandra Echevarria, now that Jennifer Lopez's ex was on tour in Mexico, it turns out that it's not Echevarria whose caught his eye, but another young Mexican that could be making the singer think twice about love, or at least lust.

Now that reports have surfaced that Jennifer Lopez is dating 24-year-old dancer Casper Smart, Marc appears to have his sights on another Mexican, 28-year-old Adriana Ontiveros, according to Mexican magazine Quien.

The sexy -- and busty -- Guadalajaran model presumably met Anthony through mutual friend and singer Alejandro Fernandez, with whom she collaborated on the music video for Fernandez's song 'Se Me Va La Voz' (I Lose My Voice).

Recent reports say Marc Anthony and J Lo. hooked up this past weekend in Puerto Rico, while the former couple were scouting for talent for their new reality show, 'Q'Viva! The Chosen.' AOL Latino will keep you posted on any developments.

Sources confirm Jennifer Lopez dating California dancer

Just months after calling it quits from her seven-year marriage to husband Marc Anthony and weeks after an alleged romance brewing between her and actor Bradley Cooper, rumors of yet another man in Jennifer Lopez' life are confirmed.

US Weekly reports that Lopez, 42, is dating Anaheim, Calif., dancer Casper Smart, 24. According to the magazine's source, Smart "dances at Club Boulevard in L.A." Smart's website, which US Weekly said was stripped of all content Saturday, shows a publicity shot of the chiseled dancer, listing him as an actor and choreographer. The Internet Movie Database lists Smart mostly playing dancing roles from as early as 2008. US Weekly reports that before caspersmart.com was purged of any details about him, he said he had roles in 'Honey 2' and was a dancer in 'Step Up 3D.' The Internet Movie Database profile for Smart confirms both roles. The Insider also reports that the dancer/actor has appeared on 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'Ellen.'

Smart has also been a backup dancer for Beyonce, Toni Braxton and even Michael Jackson. He was an alternate dancer during Jackson's 'This Is It' world tour, which was made into feature film after the singer's death in 2009.

Much like she did when spotted with Bradley Cooper, Lopez was seen out with Smart this month in New York and attempted to dodge paparazzi flashbulbs. The dancer's Twitter page also said he's been a dancer for the 'American Idol' judge.

AOL Latino reported that Lopez was involved after her split from Marc Anthony, with whom she has two 3-year-old twins, back in October, after Lopez and Cooper were seen leaving his Pacific Palisades home and having dinner in New York. Sources also revealed that he was seriously pursuing Lopez and that they texted frequently to each other throughout the day.

Jennifer Lopez Fired Manager For Telling Her To Lose Weight

Jennifer Lopez once fired a manager who told her to lose weight. The Latina star recently revealed in a Glamour interview,

"I was so infuriated that somebody said you couldn't have a extra little meat on you - because I was by no means fat!"

You tell 'em, JLo. Those curves got you famous! She goes on to say,

"This is who I am and this is the type of woman that I grew up with and it was beautiful and there's no reason to be anybody but myself."

The singer/actress says she doesn't get that criticism these days.

"I think people know better."

Lopez confesses she would not rule plastic surgery out in the future, but is definitely not considering it as of yet. She doesn't want to make any judgments before she is ready, or before it is even an issue. If she does ever decide to do some cosmetic surgery, she says she is "open to being open."

Jennifer is, however, confident she'll age gracefully and feel great about herself. She's not doing too shabby. Mama looks fierce!

Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony’s New Show to Air on Univision, Televisa

Their marriage maybe long over, but Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s ¡Q’VIVA The Chosen talent competition is moving forward after Univision and Televisa confirm they are among the multiple networks on board to broadcast the reality show.

XIX Entertainment announced on Wednesday that “Univision in the U.S., Televisa in Mexico, and Caracol TV in Colombia,” are the first three confirmed network homes, out of 21, where ¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen will be shown. The other networks will be announced at a later date.

Lopez and Marc Anthony called it quits July of this year after seven years of marriage. The superstar celebs share 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Nevertheless, the show must go on.

Simon Fuller, who along with Lopez and Marc Anthony is producing the show, said in a statement that ¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen is a “growing importance of Latin culture.”

“¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen will be a spectacular showcase of Latin music and performance arts,” Fuller said.

The show is slated to air in 21 countries through Latin America in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Lopez, Marc Anthony and veteran choreographer Jaime King are scheduled to begin production for the series this month up until January of 2012.

“Very soon the world’s heart will beat to the tune of Latin rhythms and we’re looking forward to experiencing history in the making,” Lopez said in a statement. “It is with great pride that we embark on this amazing and very personal mission to discover and celebrate the most captivating talent the world has ever seen.”

Marc Anthony, who earlier this week twitted multiple photos of himself in Mexico auditioning ¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen prospects, said he is “thrilled” to “open doors for the next generation of Latin superstars” and to have “the beauty of Latin music, artistry, and dance” seen by a mass audience.

Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony Increase Sales At Kohl's

We are glad Kohl's understands our market power! Today the department mega store announced that they have experienced a key revenue increase of 4.1 percent due to its new Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony clothing lines, which launched in the beginning of September. During the past five weeks ending on October 1st, the total revenue of the franchise totaled $1.63 billion.

We were wondering how the estranged couple would handle their new lines and perhaps the separation has something to do with its positive feedback. Jennifer and Marc have been handling the development and marketing campaigns separately, which also appears to be working in their favor.

In regards to their line, Marc told Life & Style:

"I always had Jennifer as a sounding board and vice versa. I'm really happy about her line; I saw all the work that she put into it."

Her creativity is definitely a money maker!

Report: Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Cooper Go on a Date

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have yet to officially divorce, but that doesn't mean this hot mama isn't moving on yet. TMZ reports she's back in the dating game, with none other than Hollywood heartthrob Bradley Cooper.

Apparently the two enjoyed a "romantic" dinner date at Per Se in NYC last night. Sources say they dined alone and looked pretty cozy.

Now, of course, these two could just be friends. They could be working on a movie together. They could be launching a fashion line. The possibilities are endless. But, it's much more fun to imagine they're beautiful people falling in love, right?

Well, before anyone thinks J.Lo and B. Coop are the next A-list item, know that the charming actor has been linked to more than a few stars this summer. He supposedly wooed Olivia Wilde just weeks ago. Before that, he was linked to a hot brunette named Stacey. And, before settling down with Renee Zellweger for two years, he romanced Jennifer Aniston, Denise Richards, and other Hollywood beauties.

As for Ms. Lopez, she's more of a long-term relationship/marriage kind of gal. She dated P. Diddy for years, married Chris Judd, was engaged to Ben Affleck, and finally married Marc Anthony in 2004. Maybe she wouldn't be into Cooper's serial dater ways. Or maybe it's just the change she's looking for. Stay tuned.

Jennifer Lopez v. Cameron Diaz: Who is the Diva Now?

You know what I hate? I hate people who pretend that every time they see you it is the first time you have ever met. Really? We're going to play that game?  (I am talking to you - the girl who takes spin classes at YAS. Let's not pretend we haven't had the same conversation on about 5 occasions).

Jennifer Lopez strikes me as that kind of person. It's the same kind of person who refuses to take their sunglasses off inside.

New York Daily News' Gatecrasher column reports "Jennifer Lopez is keeping to herself these days - at least on movie sets. A source on the location yesterday of "What to Expect When You're Expecting," which stars the recently separated Lopez along with a slew of other A-listers, tells us the 42-year-old "wouldn't talk to anyone directly" on the Piedmont Park set in Atlanta, and would converse with people only "through her handler."

From this week's Star Magazine:

“Jennifer and Cameron don’t like each other,” an insider tells Star. “They don’t interact much, but when they do, the tension is thick.”

“Cam also annoyed by Jennifer’s huge entourage, which includes her mom, three assistants, makeup and hair people and her manager. She made a snide comment to the effect of, ‘How many people does it take for one woman to film a simple scene?’”

Cameron, 38, has even taken a shot at the acting skills of [J.Lo]… “She said Jennifer has a lot to learn and made a dig about how she’d be better off sticking to her day jobs - meaning singing and judging Idol…”

She does have a point. If you need a team of seven to film two minutes of dialogue for a movie that no one will see, you have significantly increased your high maintenance factor.

Let's recap.

She uses a handler to conduct all of her conversations for her and she runs with an entourage of at least seven deep on set.

At some point wouldn't it become pretty obvious that you had become a total jack-hole? If you can't leave home without your eyebrow guy or you've hired a third assistant to juggle your bangle bracelet collection you might have some serious issues. More importantly what does that say about you that you need someone else to speak for you? I agree, sometimes it would be nice to have someone chat with your in-laws on your behalf, but to have that same person ask the store manager on what aisle you can find the tampons or explain to the craft service worker that cauliflower gives you gas. Not an ideal situation.

Salsa lovers look forward to 'voice from the mountain'

St. Paul, Minn. — Salsa singer Marc Anthony takes the stage tonight at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, a show that is a must-see for Latin music fans. It's also a big deal for Minnesota's growing Latino community.

Many people may only know Anthony for his acting and ill-fated marriage to actress Jennifer Lopez. But in the Spanish-speaking world the Puerto Rican singer is an international superstar who has sold 11 million albums.

Anthony became a phenomenon in the 1980s, first in dance music and then in salsa. He built a following with his booming voice, dramatic delivery and urban style — especially in New York's Spanish Harlem, where he was born.

The singer's music captivated young Latinos across the country, including local hip-hop artist Maria Isa. His records helped bridge the gap between the more traditional music her Puerto Rican parents enjoyed and the hip-hop and rap she listened to, such as hardcore groups like the Wu-Tang Clan.

"You know Marc Anthony would be blasting at the same time Wu Tang was blasting, so you had that vibe. That was something you could listen to in your home, without your parents saying, 'Mira quitame esa musica (Take off that music, we want to hear our stuff).' " "So he allowed our generation to keep the soul."

Isa's favorite Marc Anthony song is "Nadie Como Ella," or "No One Like Her."

"He's just talking about respecting his women as far as like, not just trying to holler at her but pouring his heart out, saying "I need to be with you," she said.

" 'Nadie Como Ella,' when I first heard him sing that I think I was twelve years old, just being like at the concert like oh my God, he's so powerful and he's got that gripping voice, Isa said. "That's a power, that's a blessing and that was passed down.

"That's 'montaña,' we call it 'la voz de la montaña,' 'the voice from the mountain.' "

Isa was at the last two Marc Anthony concerts at the Orpheum and Target Center.

"I only see this as a representation as saying things are getting better because we can go and see salsa at the State Fair, where 30 years ago you were only going to be able to maybe hear some funk and call it diversity."

Isa and other salsa lovers will be there tonight - dancing to a tropical beat.

Jennifer Lopez Talks About Being Worn Out on 'American Idol'

Though it was confirmed this week that Jennifer Lopez is returning to American Idol next season, the Puerto Rican superstar told People.com that there was a point towards the end of last season, where she was completely worn out. “I got a little bit tired at the end with everything going on in my life at the time,” Lopez said.

Two months after the show's finale aired on FOX, Lopez and her ex husband Marc Anthony announced via a joint statement that they would be filing for divorce.

At a news conference in Georgia, where Idol is currently taping, Lopez shared her sentiments on her role in the show, describing it as “one of the best things I’ve ever been involved with.”  She also said she enjoyed working with her fellow judges on the hit singing competition.  “I was like, ‘Okay, I’m gonna do it again,’” she said.

Beauty Trend Alert: Show Off Your Curls!

There’s something very exciting going on in the world of celeb beauty trends: curly hair is back! And not a few subtle, curled-under ends or soft waves, but gorgeous, full, sexy curls.

Curl Power: New Tips for Your Texture

Just take a look at a few of our A-listers. J.Lo, Selena Gomez, and Salma Hayek all have naturally curly or wavy hair and instead of straightening it into submission this summer, they’re embracing their texture. We think you’ll agree that they all look incredible doing it!

There are a few things you can do to make your natural texture as frizz-free as these chicas.

   1. You absolutely must invest in a great leave-in conditioner. Lately our Facebook fans have been buzzing about a few of their tried-and-true favorites. One everyone loves is Mixed Chicks ($17, mixedchicks.com).

   2. Don’t brush your hair, rub it dry with a towel, or touch your curls while they dry. Any of those are a surefire way to bring out the frizz.

   3. To make your curls as defined as Selena's, you’ll need a 1-inch curling iron. Take small half inch sections of hair and wrap them around the curling iron. Or try the TopStyler, a new hot roller set that creates perfect ringlets!

William Levy says 'No' to Jennifer Lopez

Ever since she picked William Levy to be her fictional love interest for her "I'm Into You" video, rumors have swirled about a possible romance between the Cuban stud and the girl from the block, Jennifer Lopez. Rumors abounded, such as whether Elizabeth Gutierrez had left the Cuban actor because he lied about his involvement with J Lo., whether Marc Anthony was insane with jealousy over Levy and left, even that the Levy-Lopez connection was more a way for her to help launch his Hollywood career.

Through a source close to Levy, we get to the truth. We've learned that although it's true that the Cuban heartthrob decided to change management because he does want in in the "Meca of Film," it won't be Jennifer Lopez who runs the show, as she might've wanted, because Levy said "No," among other reasons, to avoid speculation. Levy signed with the William Morris Agency.

On the other hand, a source close to Lopez confirmed that there was a formal conversation in which Levy was urged to become part of the staff for United Talent Agency and Nuyorican Production, Lopez's baby. The intention was to help initiate his first jobs in the American market. The Bronx Diva was left quite captivated by Levy's presence, his charisma and his talent.

Despite several talks, Levy chose to join another company to handle his career in the English-speaking market. That doesn't rule out the possibility of a future production under Jennifer's leadership, only Levy will have his manager negotiating the terms.

These days, Levy finds himself in Los Angeles, accompanied by Elizabeth Gutierrez, to firm up negotiations with William Morris as they plot his career and his next projects. This time, Jennifer was left only with the longing to.

Jennifer Lopez Waiting For New Love (Vanity Fair September 2011)

Jennifer Lopez knows what love is and despite the fact she’s been married three times and had even more relationships she says she is still an ‘eternal optimist’ about this incredible feeling. After she announced her split from husband Marc Anthony Jennifer has been talking about how tough their marriage has been but it is quite clear the singer is strong enough to continue living and is waiting for the new man, more loving and caring, who could be a great father to her two children, Max and Emme. In the interview for Vanity Fair September 2011 issue, which she covers with grace, Jennifer tells a lot about what didn’t work between her and Marc.

Posing for the cover of Vanity Fair September 2011 issue in a sexy white dress that shows off her perfect cleavage Jennifer Lopez looks amazing. And she looks as great on a picture inside the magazine where the star wears only a fur coat but a really luxurious one. These photographs demonstrate us Jennifer’s protest to Marc Anthony’s attempts to make her look more demure. The singer told in the interview it was hard for her to always compromise herself and comply to demands of her now ex-husband.

She said:

I’m a hopeless romantic and passionate person when it comes to love. It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself – if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.”

When Jennifer Lopez was interviewed by Vanity Fair about her personal life the announcement of her split from Marc Anthony hadn’t been made yet. But already then the singer didn’t want to pretend everything was all right in her family. She hinted that divorce might be on the way:

This was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to face. I really wanted this family to work. That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did.”

She mentioned the evolution of their relationship was rather traditional:

When we were [first] married, most of the time, and even before the babies were born, we were able to go everywhere together. I wasn’t working as much. So we kind of had that. ‘I went on tour with him a few times in the first few years of our marriage, and we did a film El Cantante together. It’s hard, and we’re figuring it out. It’s tough. Like I said, we had the first three years of our marriage just for us. I wasn’t working, it was mainly about him. Then we got pregnant. Then it became about the kids. And then I started working again.”

Jennifer Lopez says any marriage is a hard work but no matter what happens the two have to stay friends and respect each other:

Marriage is tough. It’s not going to be perfect…It’s definitely challenging.”

I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic – and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”

Marc Anthony Is ‘Begging’ Jennifer Lopez To Take Him Back! Will She Do It?

Marc Anthony was reportedly controlling over Jennifer Lopez and jealous of her career, but now he wants her back in his life! He’s even trying to draw out the divorce!

Jennifer Lopez recently revealed that Marc Anthony wasn’t treating her right and said she loved herself enough to walk away from the situation. Multiple reports claim Marc was controlling and possessive over Jennifer, as well as being jealous of her career which re-launched with American Idol. Now, he seems to regret his actions and he’s reportedly begging for her to get back together!“[Marc's] mood shifts from blaming her to begging her to take him back to telling her she is destroying his life,” a source close to Jennifer revealed to Us Weekly.

And apparently, that’s not all. Marc is trying to draw the divorce out as long as possible so that he has more time to convince J. Lo it’s a bad idea! “He’s being difficult on every little point…He wants to prolong things so she reconsiders,” the insider said.

But, at least for now, Jennifer isn’t budging. Her friend tells Us she is “happy” and “surrounded by love” although she’s found it upsetting to deal with Marc and his mood swings.

If Jennifer is done with the marriage Marc should just let go, don’t you agree? Or should she try to make it work?

The Wrap.com broke the news today that Jennifer Lopez will be returning as a judge on season 11 of FOX's hit show, American Idol. The website reports that the savvy businesswoman has secured a $20+ million dollar deal with Idol producers to return. That got us thinking about other Latin celebs who have raked in the big bucks over the years. Here are six Latino celebs who are worth a million bucks...literally

Eva Longoria, 36

Along with her costars Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria makes a whopping $400,000 for each episode of her hit ABC show, Desperate Housewives. In 2010, Eva was  the second highest paid Latin actor on television, bested only by Charlie Sheen who made a whopping 1.25 million dollars per episode of his hit CBS sitcom, Two & A Half Men.

Jennifer Lopez, 42

When Jennifer Lopez gets a raise, it's always a big raise! Lopez, who got paid $12 million dollars to judge the 10th season of FOX's hit show, American Idol, is reportedly getting an $8 million dollar raise to judge the show's 11th season. According to TheWrap.com, the Puerto Rican singer will get paid $20 million dollars to return to the show next season.

Charlie Sheen, 45

Cameron Diaz, 38

5 Epic Latino Rivalries

Earlier this week, when a judge sided with Jennifer Lopez to block the release of a video by her ex-husband Ojani Noa, another round in the J.Lo vs. Ojani rivalry came to an end, with Lopez as the victor. But Lopez and Noa's rivalry has been going on for 13 years, so we're guessing that this wont be the last time these two square off in court. And watching Noa continue to try and destroy Lopez got us thinking about other epic Latino rivalries in Hollywood. Here are five that are unforgettable.

Daisy Fuentes and Mariah Carey

Here's what went down: While Luis Miguel was dating Daisy Fuentes, the playboy singer cheated on Daisy with Mariah Carey. And in 1998, he also dumped Fuentes, his girlfriend of three years, for Carey. Something tells us Daisy's not a big fan of Mimi's music.

Jennifer Lopez vs. Ojani Noa

They tied the knot in 1997 and untied the same knot 11 months later. Since then, Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband Ojani Noa have been involved in one of the most bitter rivalries of all-time! In 2006, when Ojani tried to publish a tell-all book about their marriage, Lopez sued him and won over $500,00 in compensatory damages. She sued him again in 2009 for $10 million when he attempted to release a film called How I married Jennifer Lopez: The JLo and Ojani Noa Story. Most recently, Noa tried to release a video tape of Lopez as a movie, but last Friday, an appeals court sided with J.Lo and ordered that an invasion of privacy lawsuit she filed against her first husband be handled in arbitration rather than through a public court case. While their latest fight is over, something tells us this rivalry isn't. Talk about unhappily ever after!

Univision vs. Telemundo

Univision's got the hit reality show, Nuestra Belleza Latina, Telemundo's got the top-rated telenovela La Reina del Sur and they've both got one big problem: each other! While Univision is considered the Spanish-language giant and has announced plans to launch three new networks by 2012, Telemundo is hot on the network's heels as the second-largest Spanish-language network in the United States. This spring, Telemundo even managed to steal "The Latina Oprah" (Christina Saralegui) from Univision, which should bode well for the network's ratings next year. On January 28th, 2011, Comcast completed a $6.5 billion dollar deal acquisition of a 51% majority stake in NBC Universal, acquiring control of Telemundo as part of the deal, so don't be surprised if Telemundo eventually dethrones Univision.

Perez Hilton vs. Carrie Prejean

The Queen of all Media has had plenty of rivals in Hollywood, including Black Eyed Peas singer, Will.i.am, Miley Cyrus, Rumer Willis and Lindsay Lohan, but his rivalry with Miss USA contestant Carrie Prejean in 2009 is the Cuban blogger's most epic public fight. It all started when Perez served as a guest judge during the Miss USA pageant, and asked Prejean a question about same-sex marriage. Prejean replied that marriage should be between a man and a woman, and Perez, who thought the answer was homophobic, proceeded to blast Prejean daily on his website, Perezhilton.com, calling her answer the 'worst answer in pageant history," and calling her a dumb bi***." Ouch.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato vs. Miley Cyrus

In 2009, best friends Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato made funny videos on youtube together where they danced, and joked around for hours. While we thought the videos were very funny and cute, there was someone who wasn't so impressed with them: Miley Cyrus. Cyrus and her best friend Mandy Jiroux must not have liked the attention Selena and Demi were getting, because they posted a video in which they mocked and imitated Demi and Selena, making fun of their outfits and their physical appearance.

Jennifer Lopez Speaks About Marc Anthony Split

That didn’t take long!

For the first time, Jennifer Lopez opens up to Vanity Fair about her failed marriage to Marc Anthony. The divorce was announced pretty recently, so the timing seems very convenient for the pop singer.

According to Lopez, she tried her best to keep her relationship from falling apart, but soon realized that it was so over.

“That was my biggest dream, and I really worked hard at it,” says Lopez. “We both did. Sometimes it doesn’t work-and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love. It’s still my biggest dream. I am positive-determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.”

Despite the breakup, Lopez claims that she holds no grudges against Anthony. “I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer,” she explains. “We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic-and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”

Jennifer Lopez Makes a $20+ Million Deal to Return to 'American Idol'

Jennifer Lopez will return to American Idol for at least one more season and it won't be cheap for the hit Fox singing competition. The Wrap is reporting that La Lopez has signed on for season two for a cool $20+ million!

Sources are telling the website that though the deal has been agreed upon, nothing has been signed so it is still not set in stone. Either way, everyone is expecting the Puerto Rican pop star to stick around for season two.

The new $20 million deal is a pretty sizable raise from her salary of $12 million she received last year. The only wrench in the works at this point seems to be scheduling. Jennifer is going to be super busy over the next 6 months. She is currently filming the romantic comedy What to Expect When You're Expecting (set to hit theaters in May, 2012) and will be shooting a new action film opposite Jason Statham entitled Parker shortly thereafter. This likely means that the AI crew will have to adjust audition dates for the newest season of the reality show.

Prepare yourself for 2012 to be the year of Jennifer Lopez!

EXCLUSIVE: Nina Garcia Wants Jennifer Lopez on 'Project Runway'

Tell us about the new season of Project Runway!

Well, the new season is very exciting because tonight, for the first time ever, you'll get to see the original casting process, which has never been done before. Michael {Kors} Heidi {Klum} and I, have never been involved in the last minute casting, so that's something new. It's something that I think is going to work really well for the show because I feel that we're more connected to the designers. We had a lot more background on the designers this season. In the past, we used to just see their portfolios and kind of judge them from there. This time around we get to hear where they're from and what they've been doing, so we have a little more insight into the designers themselves.

Is there a strong talent pool this year?

I say this every year, but I really think the talent gets better every season. This season, there are more serious designers and less cat fights and drama—it's more about the clothes. There's a lot of good design this season.

Are their any talented Latino contestants on the new season?

There is one {girl} who's Latin, yes. There have been a lot of Latins in the past, but this season we've only had one.

Last season, you had a super talented Latino on the show with Mondo Guerra!

There's only one Mondo Guerra {Laughs}. I love him! Sometimes I get asked {about him losing last year}, but Mondo is doing brilliantly and you'll get to see more of Mondo, trust me. He's got a lot cooking!

Who are some of your celeb guest judges this season?

Kim Kardashian, Christina Ricci—I think that's all I can say. But here's what I will say about this season's judges—there are a lot of beautiful women judges! It was very intimidating actually because every time I sat on that judge's chair, another gorgeous woman would be next to me and I'd be like "oh, no! I want to sit very far away!" {Laughs}.

If you could have any Latina celebrity as a guest judge on Project Runway, who would you want on the show?

Who do you think?

Jennifer Lopez?

Of course.

Why would J.Lo be good for Project Runway?

I just think that she's got great fashion sense. I admire her as a Latina and I think she has done a lot for the Latina community. She's embraced her roots, she is so confident about her body, about her background, and she's got such a wonderful sense of style and it's authentic. It's not some stylist putting her together—it's really her. I think she really epitomizes the Latin woman who is sexy and strong and confident.
