No one may have ascended into the heavens yesterday, but a lot of folks got down in Manhattan yesterday for the 5th annual Dance Parade. Thousands of folks turned out for the intermittently sunny day, as more than 160 dance troupes danced down Broadway. The event, which calls itself the "most culturally diverse festival in the world," featured over 74 different styles of dances with more than 10,000 dancers showing their moves with everything from salsa, to pole-dancing, to stilts to disco.
