Hair & Makeup “close up shots” of your favorite International Latin dancer.

Hairstyles and makeup used in International Latin competitions change over time and we wanted to make a collection for this year since it will soon come to a close. Trends are difficult to see sometimes, especially if the change is gradual. However, if you jump back five or ten years, the change can seem exponential.

The slight changes in makeup this year was the darker eye shadow and liner. As you can see by the photos, the darker eye shadow was popular at this year’s Youth Latin in Ostrava.

The darker makeup was first noticed on national level at this years’s Blackpool Dance Festival. Some of the Ballroom and/or Internationals Standard dancers had hints of “goth”  but the makeup wasn’t over done. It made the dancers stand out, actually, so it was advantageous for them to wear this bold and daring blend of makeup this year.

For those of you that find a hairstyle or makeup theme that you like, email, Facebook or Twitter it to your hairdresser so they can get an idea of what you want. Practice getting  your hair done and applying your makeup theme as well, so you will be ready for the competition.

Below are some of the best professional and amateur dancers in the world with hairstyles and makeup that work well for them and seem to give them the winning edge. Since we will update this each week, come back to see what dancers are making the treads.
