Is monogamy a thing of the past? Why do people cheat in a relationship? There are various reasons that can crop up for this question. Read on to know some reasons why men cheat despite being committed to a woman.
A relationship always has its share of ups and downs. But the worst point for any woman would be to discover her partner has been unfaithful to her at some point in the relationship. Infidelity is a common thing these days, where men, as well as women are known to go in for the forbidden fruit for reasons best known to the individual. Men cheat for a reason, but then, at times, men cheat for no reason! Does that mean the woman is lacking something? Well, it largely depends upon the kind of relationship you share with your man. The man may have strayed, as it may have been a 'weak' moment in his life. On the other hand, the man may have strayed because he is basically a moron! There can be countless reasons why men cheat and it is solely up to you to judge the person and to understand if you really want such a nincompoop in your life!
Reasons Why Men Cheat:
Since I have a whole load of male friends, I can safely say these are some of the common reasons I have come across whenever I have questioned them for their acts of infidelity!
To feel 'manly':
Well, shame on those guys who cheat only to boost their ego. This situation may occur when the current relationship is on the rocks or maybe the couple has lost that initial spark. A man can either work his way around it or cheat to find that 'spark' somewhere else. Some 'species' of men love to boast to their friends about the number of flings they have had. Cheating while in a relationship surely boosts the ego to a large extent.
Confused state of mind:
Men being men, well, they are commitment phobic (at least a majority). Maybe your man is confused where the relationship is going. Maybe he is finding the relationship bit stagnated. Being confused, he might not think twice before hooking up with the blonde he met at the party. Some men only find the easier way out whereas a few do work towards overcoming problems faced in a relationship.
Falling 'out' of love:
He may not find you as desirable when he was dating you years back. Maybe responsibilities after marriage have reduced the intimacy levels between you both. Well, this is reason enough for the man to cheat! Falling out of love can happen to men who at that stage, prefer to look for 'love' elsewhere. This presents an opportunity for him to stray and revive the romantic angle, but with some other woman.
A born flirt:
Well, you honestly can't change the nature of a man, unless he wills to do it on his own. You will have many things to tackle if you are stuck with a born flirt. For such a man, he needs no reasons to cheat! He may go on a date with the attractive woman at the drive in or he may even plan a secret rendezvous with this woman next door. You may really be an attractive woman with an intelligent mind, but the problem here lies with him!
For no reason:
Well, some men cheat for no reason whatsoever. It depends upon the basic nature of the person. No matter how healthy your relationship may be, such a man would take every opportunity to find his 'options'. He may be indecisive about his current relationship or he may be the kind to 'explore new options' to find something better than the last. In this case, he really has no particular reason to cheat except for the lust factor. Such a man is bound to come up with some lame excuse and promises to be back on track, but chances are, he will take the same path yet again!
There can be no accurate reason why a person cheats in a relationship. The choice largely rests upon you, whether you can accept such a man and if he promises to stay faithful to you forever. You must use your instincts in this matter to make the right decision. And remember ladies; this is not the last man on earth! You deserve nothing short from the best and perhaps a faithful and loving man would soon be bumping into you, somewhere!
First of all, men don't always cheat, but when they do, here are some possible reasons:
1. They are not ready to have commitments.
2. They no longer feel satisfied/stimulated in their current relationship and are too cowardly to end the relationship.
3. They are concerned aobut their financial/living situation if they end the relationship, but do not feel fulfilled in it.
4. They like various sex partners.
5. They crave the initial excitement and illicitness of a "secret" affair.
6. They need to feel desired and their partner does not fulfill that need.
7. Men are single-minded and don't think about the consequences of their actions.
8. Some men cheat because they think they can get by with it.
9. Some cheat because they don't take their relationships seriously.
10. Guys cheat because many of them increasingly feel powerless in a society that is giving women more rights & powers in the domestic & public spheres.
11. Men stray outside of long-term relationships to remember what it was like to be desirable and free. "Schedules" and routine destroy self image.
12. The woman's sex drive isn't what it was when you first got married.
13. Having sex with more than one woman is an ego boost for those with low self-esteem.
14. Men cheat because they are bored in their current relationships
15. The man perceives that the partner is bored with or no longer interested in sex.
16. Lack of or poor communication with the spouse/girlfriend can lead a man to cheat.
17. other people are something new and different
18. you have no old baggage with someone new
19. maybe they want something with ''no strings''
20. different people have different likes and dislikes
21. their spouses might not be interested in doing the sexual things the men want to try out (e.g. oral, greek, 3-ways, etc.) or even afraid or morally against such kinks.
