Lady Gaga shocks in decapitated corpse dress on X Factor

Even for a pop star famed for her outlandish outfits, this took the breath away.

Lady Gaga took to the X Factor stage tonight dressed as - a decapitated corpse.

And she emerged from a mausoleum carrying her own head!

Halfway through her performance of 'Marry The Night', Gaga then stripped off to her underwear.

Her show-stopping act concluded with her striking a pose until long after the song had ended.

Host Dermot O'Leary looked sheepish as he moved in to ask a question, seemingly unsure of her next move.

Earlier Gaga arrived at the X Factor studios in a white lace dress - carrying a cup of tea.

Gaga's most notorious outfit to date was the dress made of meat that she wore to last year's MTV Music Video Awards.
