Demi Lovato Reveals Title of Her New Album

Demi Lovato revealed the title of her new album yesterday!  Complete with a countdown, the 18-year-old former Disney star took to Twitter to share the title, Unbroken, with her nearly 4 million followers. It’s a fitting name, given the turbulent year Lovato has had.  The teen star’s past with eating disorders and cutting behavior landed her in a Chicago area rehab center last October.  She was released this spring.

Demi Lovato is ‘Going There’ on New Album

Last month, Lovato announced September 20 as the release date for her new album, which is her third.  Her first single, “Skyscraper,” helped bring the actress/singer to new heights after reaching #1 on iTunes.  Accompanied with yesterday’s tweet of the album’s title was an image of Lovato dolled up on a hill.  The photo was a glimpse of the new album’s art.  We are happy to see Lovato doing so well and can’t wait to see the finalized album art!

Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Breaking Up?

Are Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez totally over? Honestly, we don't think so. But the Internet being what it is, a rumor that the teen popster, 17, and Disney darling/cougar girlfriend, 19, have called it quits is spreading like wildfire.

Pretending for the sake of argument that there's any truth to this thing, what supposedly cause the rift?

Selena, rumor has it, was apparently miffed when she discovered Justin texting his ex-girlfriend, Jasmine Villegas. Villegas is yet another 17-year-old pop singer who joined the second leg of the Bieb's 2010 tour as his opening act. [Insert raised eyebrow here.]

But, with apologies to Justin's many admirers, we were only able to trace the rumor back as far as this YouTube video by some guy who needs to make his bed and have his mouth washed out with soap.

Could Justin and Selena's May-December romance really be on the rocks and, if so, would some random dude with a webcam and Target art really have the scoop?

Does Selena Gomez Need A Break?

Selena Gomez might just need a break from her busy schedule, as reports circulate that the Disney starlet is breaking down over the immense workload on her shoulders!

And it’s good timing, too. Her boyfriend Justin Bieber just announced that he’s also going to be taking a month off to spend some quality time with family and friends. Selena has just admitted in a new interview with The Guardian that she sometimes struggles with the amount of work she has.

She said, “It gets overwhelming at times, the scheduling, with touring, acting, my clothing line, music, there are times when you almost break down.”

She went on to reveal that despite the heavy workload, she does have a great support system in those around her. She added, “I have a really great support system around me, and that keeps me straight. Luckily, my mom is my manager so I’ve always got her with me.”

Shouldn’t she and the Biebz just take a nice, long vacation together? They’ve worked hard and deserve a nice break! What do you think?

Demi Lovato Opens Up About Her Life

Ever since her release from rehab back in January, Demi Lovato has been doing great on her road to recovery. The Disney star endured some dark times and recently worked up the courage to talk about her days of struggle.

On her eating issues, Lovato says:

“My family has known I’ve had issues with food and eating for about six years now. I was able to check in with them but it got to a point where I just was lying about eating and about being happy. There’s a lot of pressure these days. I feel like I live in a city where no woman eats!”

Regarding her depression:

“I just had so much going on in my head. I ended up doing things that I regret to this day. I was cranky. I was irritable. I was not pleasant really to work with. I never became suicidal, but I was in some really, really dark times though.”

On her days in rehab:

“Spending Christmas in treatment was really, really difficult. I just remember sometimes sitting there and being like, I had so much just six months ago, and here I am in a treatment center. What has my life become? How did I let it get to this point?”

Stay strong, Lovato! You’re doing well! Remember, if you feel like you’re going to fall . . . there’ll always be someone there to catch ya’.

Demi Lovato opens up about eating disorder and self-harm

As a guest editor for Seventeen Magazine, Demi Lovato has decided to use the platform to clear the air about her stint in a rehab center and the problems that landed her there. Her widely publicized battle with an eating disorder and self-harm came to a head when she had a violent outburst while on tour with the Jonas Brothers. Now that she's out of the institution and continuing her treatment at home in LA, Demi felt comfortable writing about her experiences in Seventeen.

She wants girls and women to know that their best option is to seek help. "If you are going through that dark period, go to your family and closest friends," she says. "Don't put yourself in danger."

In treatment, Demi learned healthier ways to release stress. "It's very crucial that you get your feelings out - but don't ever inflict harm on your own body because your body is so sacred. I wish I could tell every young girl with an eating disorder, or who has harmed herself in any way, that she's worthy of life and that her life has meaning. You can overcome and get through anything."

The singer and actress admits that despite her successful treatment, she still has bad days.

"Yes, there have been times when I definitely have been tempted to get rid of my dinner. But I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it's a life-long disease," she says. "I don't think there's going to be a day when I don't think about food or my body, but I'm living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it."

As for her life post-rehab, Demi says that she feels a weight has been lifted and there's less pressure for her to meet expectations. "I don't really define it by anything. I live my life every day, and if I feel like wearing combat boots one day and shoes the next, I will. I allow myself a lot of freedom and I'm very peaceful now. I have come to realize that just making yourself happy is most important. Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy. That's my life motto."
