Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez Break Up – Again!

Actress Cameron Diaz and New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez have broken up again so that they can both focus on their careers, the online edition of US Weekly reported Wednesday.

"They broke up recently," a source close to A-Rod told the magazine.

The source said that the 39-year-old star of films such as "There's Something About Mary" and "Bad Teacher," is "very busy with her career," while Rodriguez, 36, has "had injuries and wants to focus on his game."

"They're dedicated professionals," said the same person, adding that the actress and ballplayer are "still very friendly and like each other."

The couple have already gone through several breakups during their relationship, the last one in June, after which they reconciled.

Rodriguez, who divorced his wife Cynthia in 2008 and who then began a relationship with singer Madonna, began going out with Diaz a year ago, when he decided to celebrate his feat of becoming the youngest ballplayer in history to hit 600 homers by taking a helicopter ride over New York accompanied by her and her friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

They kept their relationship secret for months, but they were seen together at the NFL Super Bowl in Dallas and then on vacation in Mexico, as well as on several other occasions in New York.

Jennifer Lopez v. Cameron Diaz: Who is the Diva Now?

You know what I hate? I hate people who pretend that every time they see you it is the first time you have ever met. Really? We're going to play that game?  (I am talking to you - the girl who takes spin classes at YAS. Let's not pretend we haven't had the same conversation on about 5 occasions).

Jennifer Lopez strikes me as that kind of person. It's the same kind of person who refuses to take their sunglasses off inside.

New York Daily News' Gatecrasher column reports "Jennifer Lopez is keeping to herself these days - at least on movie sets. A source on the location yesterday of "What to Expect When You're Expecting," which stars the recently separated Lopez along with a slew of other A-listers, tells us the 42-year-old "wouldn't talk to anyone directly" on the Piedmont Park set in Atlanta, and would converse with people only "through her handler."

From this week's Star Magazine:

“Jennifer and Cameron don’t like each other,” an insider tells Star. “They don’t interact much, but when they do, the tension is thick.”

“Cam also annoyed by Jennifer’s huge entourage, which includes her mom, three assistants, makeup and hair people and her manager. She made a snide comment to the effect of, ‘How many people does it take for one woman to film a simple scene?’”

Cameron, 38, has even taken a shot at the acting skills of [J.Lo]… “She said Jennifer has a lot to learn and made a dig about how she’d be better off sticking to her day jobs - meaning singing and judging Idol…”

She does have a point. If you need a team of seven to film two minutes of dialogue for a movie that no one will see, you have significantly increased your high maintenance factor.

Let's recap.

She uses a handler to conduct all of her conversations for her and she runs with an entourage of at least seven deep on set.

At some point wouldn't it become pretty obvious that you had become a total jack-hole? If you can't leave home without your eyebrow guy or you've hired a third assistant to juggle your bangle bracelet collection you might have some serious issues. More importantly what does that say about you that you need someone else to speak for you? I agree, sometimes it would be nice to have someone chat with your in-laws on your behalf, but to have that same person ask the store manager on what aisle you can find the tampons or explain to the craft service worker that cauliflower gives you gas. Not an ideal situation.

Cameron Diaz: "I Eat Every Three Hours"

Cameron Diaz has been looking amazing lately, so when we caught up with the Cuban actress in Miami we had to ask, how does she do it?

Your car wash scene in ‘Bad Teacher’ obliterates every other car wash scene in cinematic history and we don’t blame you for flaunting your hot bod.

I didn’t even have time to work out [during the making of this film], I literally was working out 10 minutes a day in my trailer, doing what I call my horizontal workouts, which are not what you think! [Laughs]

Those sound like fun!

Yeah, but in my trailer with my gay trainer it was not like that [Laughs]. I did 10 minutes every day because I didn’t have time for longer workouts. I shot Knight and Day for six months before I started this movie and I only had two weeks off. I was tired. I was like, ‘I should’ve taken a nap before I did this movie.’ Luckily, my character gets to nap a lot. [Laughs] I’m burning so many calories when I’m working like this, so I would go to my trailer during lunch, I would eat, I would do my 10-minute workout on the floor laying down—just whatever exercise the trainer would give me— and then I would eat the last bit of my food and go back to work.

Cameron Diaz Talks about Being 'Bad', Kim Kardashian and Breast Implants

What are your views on nutrition?

People think that eating less is better but it’s actually the other way around. It’s more food, smaller portions throughout the day of the right food. I have to eat every three hours or else I’m no good to anybody. You keep your metabolism burning and that’s how you give the fuel to your body to do what you have to do.

What are some of your favorite healthy foods?

I do proteins, and the right carbs like brown rice, oatmeal, quinoa, and sweet potato. I stay away from the white stuff as much as possible. I don’t deny myself, though. Once a week, I’ll have pasta. I do it not because of the aesthetics but because of the nutrition. Whole grains are just better than those that have been refined, even though they taste really good. But just like anything in life, you have to work hard for it. I can’t look the way that I look by not working hard. There’s no way. The reward of things only comes when you work hard for them.

My mom always said, “Nothing’s for free. You always have to pay for it somewhere.” And I would rather pay for it with hard work than have to pay for it with something else down the line.

You seem to just live a healthy life all around.

For me, it’s about being fit and strong. My body is at its best when I’m my strongest. So when you’re skinny and you’re not eating and you’re not working out and you starve yourself, you’re useless. For me, it’s about being capable and being consistent with my fitness. I wanna be able to go surfing whenever I want, or hiking, or play golf— I wanna do all the things that I wanna be doing in my life with the people that I love, so I have to be physically capable.

That’s my purpose of going into the gym three to four times a week. And when I don’t do that, my brain doesn’t work, it’s hard for me to keep my head together and I’m not happy. I’m happiest when I’m strong, fit, clear-minded, and I can do all the things I know I’m capable of. Even though I’m a skinny little girl, I’m strong and I love it!

10 Reasons Latinos Are Taking Over Hollywood!

Tom Hanks' appearance on the Spanish-language show, Despierta America this morning had quite a few people saying "que?" Why is a major American movie star like Hanks (who doesn't even speak Spanish) visiting a morning show on a Spanish-language network? The answer is an easy one: Latinos have arrived in Hollywood! Don't believe us? Here are 10 reasons Latinos are taking over Hollywood!

We Have the Biggest Teen Stars on Earth

Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Victoria Justice, and Bella Thorne — they’re the biggest female teen stars on the planet right now, and they’re all Latinas! Selena, who recently finished filming the final episode of her hit Disney series, Wizards of Waverly Place has a new movie career, a blazing hot music career (her third album, When The Sun Goes Down drops on June 29th) — and she happens to be dating the biggest male teen star in the universe: Justin Bieber! Selenita’s fellow Mexicana, Demi Lovato, who is widely respected for her musical talents, is currently recording a new album, while Disney's new princess, Bella Thorne has her own star vehicle with Disney's hit show, Shake It Up! And Boricua Victoria Justice — the only one from this group who's not a Disney alum — is also a Hollywood fixture. Justice has her own hit Nickelodeon show, Victorious, she's currently recording her debut album, and she just got cast as the lead in the coming of age comedy, Fun Size, which is being directed by Josh Schwartz (creator of Gossip Girl and The OC).

Attack of the Latino Teen Stars

We're the Most Beautiful

In April, People Magazine named Jennifer Lopez (not Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Anniston or Megan Fox), the most beautiful woman in the world. La Lopez looked positively radiant on the cover of the magazine's annual most beautiful issue and more importantly, for once the most beautiful face in America is one that Latinas will recognize as one of their own.

CONFIRMED: Jennifer Lopez Named People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman

We Bring the Funny
We don't know about you, but our favorite scenes from FOX's hit show, Glee are the hilarious one-liners that Puerto Rican actress, Naya Rivera cold-heartedly delivers week after week as the uber-bitchy cheerio-turned-gleek, Santana Lopez. From "I'm a closet Lesbian and a judgemental bitch, which means one thing: I have awesome gaydar," to "Legend has it that when I came out of my mother I told the nurse she was fat," to our absolute favorite of all-time: "The only straight I am is straight-up bitch," all of Naya's witticisms are equally hurtful to the person she's insulting (but to us, they're just funny!). Meanwhile, on ABC's hit comedy, Modern Family, no one cracks us up more than Sofia Vergara, who always seems to have a stumped, 'what do you mean?' expression on her face as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, a character whose level of naiveté makes her a cross between George W. Bush and Steve Urkel. In other words, she's comedy gold!

We're the New American Idol!

Over the last ten years, we've come close to winning FOX’s American Idol several times (David Archuleta, Alison Iraheta, Syesha Mercado), but in 2011 — with a superstar Latina (Jennifer Lopez) at the judges table — part-Puerto Rican country singer, Scotty McCreery finally made history when he became the first Latino ever to win the hit FOX competition. After he won, Scotty —  whose father was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico — had this message for his Latino fans. "I love ya'll. I've got a quarter of ya'll in me, and it was really cool to get up there and sing for all of you. We'll see if my flavor that Jennifer {Lopez} talked about keeps on going!"

We Are Ratings Gold
La Reina del Sur is a bad title for Kate Del Castillo's Telemundo telenovela. It ought to be called, La Reina de Televisión. In March, the primetime Spanish-language soap beat ALL English language programing in major cities like New York and LA in the ratings and regularly beat the major networks (ABC, CBS and NBC) among adults 18-34. Attribute the soap's success to the fact that Hispanics now make up more than 16% of the U.S. population, and that Hispanics watch more TV on average than other Americans, and you'd be right. But it's not just Latinos watching Spanish-language soaps anymore — Spanish-language networks now offer subtitles to their programs for non-Spanish speakers. The rest of America is learning what we learned from abuela (and Thalia) as children: telenovelas are addictive and fun.

'La Reina del Sur' Helps Telemundo Break Ratings Record

We're Getting More TV Channels in Español
Encore! Encore! People love Latinos on television so much, whether it's in English or Spanish, that they're asking for more of us, and with recent census data showing that 1 in 6 adults (and 1 in 4 children) in America is Latino, networks are beginning to target the fast growing U.S. Hispanic population. Last month, the Starz network announced that come August 1st, it will launch a Spanish-language premium movie channel called Encore Espanol and in May, leading Spanish-language network Univision — which is already a Spanish-language network — announced plans to launch three additional new networks titled Univision TL Novelas, Univision Deportes, and Univision 24/7, which will focus exclusively on telenovelas, sports, and news, respectively, and bow in 2012. Translation: We already live in a multi-channel universe, but it's time for America to get ready for a multi-channel Spanish-language universe!

POLL: Do You Watch Television in Spanish?

We'll Be the Judge!

They say that behind every great man is a great woman. But Boricua Jennifer Lopez and Colombiana, Christina Aguilera aren't hiding behind any men as the feature premiere judges of FOX's American Idol and NBC's The Voice respectively. In fact, although J.Lo and Christina are surrounded by a sea of hombres on their respective shows (Christina's fellow judges include Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, while Lopez's co-judges are Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson), the superstar Latinas get top billing on TV's biggest singing competitions — often getting the last word over their male counterparts. Hollywood is clearly leaving the judging to us!

Jennifer Lopez's $12 Million 'American Idol' Deal

We're Getting Our Stories Told

In the last two or three years, there have been more Latino-centric story lines on TV, both on cable and network shows. The second season of HBO's Eastbound & Down was set in Mexico and welcomed Latino stars Ana de la Reguera and Michael Pena, Entourage recently did a story line about a Mexican tequila business that Turtle (A.J. Ferrara) gets involved with, and during its fifth season, Showtime's hit serial killer drama, Dexter featured a story line about Santa Muerte Murders set in a predominately Venezuelan neighborhood. Other shows that have featured Latino-centric story lines include Showtime's Weeds (where Mary Louise Parker's character Nancy Botwin got involved with Mexican drug lords), and Off the Map, a medical drama for ABC set in the South American jungle. The new season of HBO's hit series, True Blood, (premiering this Sunday), will feature a story line about a brujero (Kevin Alejandro) who dabbles in dark magic.

We're Making It Easier to Shoot in Puerto Rico & The DR

Don't be surprised if more and more films start shooting in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. In March, Governor Luis G. Fortuño of Puerto Rico approved new legislation that revamps its program, offering the U.S. tax rebates along with a 20 % rebate for non-residents including the pre-existing 40% rebate for residents. The new incentives are likely to prompt film producers in Hollywood to shoot their films on the Puerto Rican island. In a similar move, the Dominican Republic is officially launching its own production incentive program this month in an effort to lure more productions to the Caribbean. According to Variety, the program's key elements provide a 25% transferable tax credit for features and TV series shot in the country, with $500,000 minimum to qualify and an expedited customs process.

Is Puerto Rico the Next Hollywood?

We're Raking in the Cash
In 2010, Cameron Diaz was the second highest paid actress in Hollywood (behind Sandra Bullock), while Eva Longoria was the highest paid Latina on television, pulling in an impressive $400,000 for each episode of ABC's Desperate Housewives. But it's not just Latina actresses who command big salaries — Latina supermodels also rake in big salaries. In fact, Gisele Bundchen, and Adriana Lima are currently the highest paid models in the industry.

Is Marriage Dead? These Latina Celebs Seem To Think So!

With the string of horrible stories that have come out over the last few weeks (Weinergate, The Love Governator, etc.), we can't blame anyone who is leery of the institution of marriage. But there seems to be a shift in society in general when it comes to thoughts about marriage and monogamy and whether or not these things are really necessary in modern times. As a matter of fact, for the first time ever, non-married people outnumbered married couples in the 2010 census count. Clearly there is a groundswell of anti-marriage momentum happening in the United States.

Marriage also seems to be less and less important for some Latinas, including these celebs, who either straight out reject the notion of being with someone for the rest of your life altogether, or have found domestic bliss in other forms. Check out some of our favorite chicas who have said "No" to marriage and tell us what you think: Is marriage dead?

Eva Mendes

Relationship Status: Dating long-time boyfriend George Augusto

Eva Mendes isn’t too fond of the institution of marriage – and is very frank about it.  The Cuban-American star has been in a relationship with producer George Augusto for nine years, recently said she hasn’t walked down the aisle because, “Marriage is very old-fashioned. Old-fashioned bad…Everybody’s relationship is so different,” the 37-year-old actress continued. “When you’re 20 it’s different from 25 or 30. It depends on the time of your life…”

Daisy Fuentes

Relationship Status: Single or maybe dating Luis Miguel. Engaged to Matthew Goss

Daisy Fuentes was engaged to Matt Goss on her 36th birthday in 2002. The two were planning a small, intimate wedding at the time, but it never transpired. Fuentes, 45, said in an interview back in 2003, “There's no big rush – we're living together.” But eventually the couple broke up amid allegations that Daisy cheated on her British pop star beau with her old flame Luis Miguel. “We had a long and loving relationship,” said Goss. “This came as a shock especially when you think you really know someone.

Shakira

Relationship Status: Dating Gerard Pique, engaged to Antonio de la Rua for 10 years

After an engagement that spanned almost a decade, Shakira and ex-fiancé Antonio de la Rúa called it quits. Throughout their long engagement, the 34-year-old singer entertained no plans of actually getting married. Shaki once said of their relationship, “We’re very united as a couple and I don’t see how we could be any closer by signing a piece of paper…I like to think of myself as his eternal girlfriend,” she said.  That status was short of eternal, because now, Shakira is with FC Barcelona star, Gerard Pique, who just may share her views on marriage, being that he’s ten years younger that the colombiana.

Cameron Diaz

Relationship Status: Dating Alex Rodriguez

Cameron Diaz has said on many occasions that marriage has not been important to her.  The 38-year-old Hollywood actress, whose on-again, off-again relationship with Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez has been subject to continuously swirling rumors, shared her sentiments on marriage recently with Cosmopolitan Magazine.  “I believe we are with who we’re supposed to be when we’re supposed to be with them,” she said.  Diaz admitted that she is concerned that if she tries to “lock someone down,” she will end up missing out on “all possibilities of what could be.”

Constance Marie

Relationship Status: Engaged to Kent Katich

Constance Marie, 46, has been engaged to her fiancé Kent Katich for over a decade, the couple have a baby girl named Luna. Marie has shared her thoughts on marriage before, saying: “I think marriage is a wonderful thing, and I believe in it.” But just this week the Switched at Birth star told us, "My thing is, if it ain't broke don't fix it. We've been together 15 years; we love each other and nobody's that bitter yet. If Luna ever insisted we got married we might do it for her. I do believe that it's working, so I just want to keep it working—I'm more interested in having a relationship that lasts long and I don’t care what the label is.”

Our Sexiest Leading Ladies and Their Younger Men

Selena Gomez (18) and Justin Bieber (17)

These two young stars tried to keep their romance a secret for the longest, but there was no denying they were a couple after they were caught canoodling by determined paparazzo during a romantic Caribbean getaway. Selena and the Biebs finally went public with their relationship in February at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party. Though they started dating when Bieber was only 16 and Selena was 18 (technically making their coupling illegal, gasp!), the young pop star really seems to know a thing or two about treating his lady like a queen.

Elsa Pataky (34) and Chris Hemsworth (27)

Just three months after Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth went public with their relationship at a party held by LACMA in Los Angeles this September, the couple was secretly married. The Spanish actress met her Australian beau through their mutual agent. The two dated for a long time before coming out publically as a couple and wed during over the Christmas holidays in a small, intimate ceremony on the Indonesian Islands.

Shakira (34) and Gerard Pique (24)

The ten-year age difference between these two does not seem to be making a bit of a difference in their relationship. The 20-something FC Barcelona defender first met his Colombian pop princess when they filmed the music video for the 2010 World Cup anthem “Waka, Waka” and though they both denied being romantically involved for months, a recent photo of them making out proves otherwise. After ending an 11-year romance with her manager and business partner Antonio de la Rua (announced via Shaki’s official website in early January), Shakira seems to be thriving on Pique’s youthful energy.

Eva Longoria (36) and Eduardo Cruz (25)

Shortly after her traumatizing divorce to NBA player Tony Parker, Longoria was spotted kissing and cuddling in LA with Penelope Cruz’s sexy younger brother Eduardo. The two went sort of public as a couple in January, gallivanting around town and locking lips in fancy restaurants all over L.A., but have yet to make anything official. What looked like a quick rebound relationship for the Desperate Housewives actress may be on its way to true romance.

Mariah Carey (40) and Nick Cannon (30)

When the news of Mariah Carey’s wedding to Nick Cannon broke, even we were shocked. Many were skeptical when these two got together, but they were so in love we just had to be happy for the diva.  The two met while shooting the video for “Bye Bye,” Mariah’s second single off of E=MC². They married shortly after at her private estate on Windermere Island on April 30, 2008. If Nick still needs to do any growing up, we’re sure the twins they are expecting will certainly help speed up the process.

Cameron Diaz (38) Alex Rodriguez (35)

Originally we thought anything between these two had to be a fling, but they’ve since proved us wrong. The Yankee has been around the bases with a string of high-profile stars since his split with his wife in 2008, including Kate Hudson and Madonna. But Diaz doesn’t seem like just another notch in his belt. Their romance is going strong and with the amount of time Cam has been spending around Rodriguez’s little girls, it looks like things may be getting serious. Dating a younger man seems to be doing wonders for Diaz, who has been sporting an even more killer then usual body since she and A-Rod became work out buddies!

Christina Aguilera (30) and Matt Rutler (25)

Christina and ex-husband Jordan Bratman filed for divorce in October 2010. Shortly afterward, Aguilera was spotted holding hands with the Burlesque set assistant Matthew Rutler. The age difference actually might not be working out so great for these two. Since the couple’s relationship began Aguilera’s been partying more than usual and was recently arrested for public intoxication when Rutler was pulled over by LAPD for driving under the influence. Christina’s never exhibited the kind of behavior in the past, especially not since she gave birth to son 3-year-old son Max.

Kate del Castillo (38) and Aaron Diaz (29)

After divorcing soccer player Luis Garcia, Kate del Castillo found love with the ridiculously handsome telenovela actor, Aaron Diaz. The two announced their engagement in September 2008 and got married in 2009 in Las Vegas. Castillo is on top of the world these days; her telenovela La Reina del Sur is breaking ratings records for Telemundo and she is looking better than ever. Who can even tell that this couple is 9 years apart in age?
