Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio, 39, welcomed Baby Andrea Nicolás into the world on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 9:12 a.m., weighing in at seven pounds. Paulina introduced him to world in a special holiday themed cover for Hola! Magazine, saying, “Life has a new meaning for us." The baby boy was partially named after his daddy, Rubio’s husband Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera.
Mariah Carey & Twins Moroccan and Monroe
Mariah Carey gave birth to her twins, a baby girl weighing 5 lbs., 3 oz. and her little brother weighing 5 lbs., 6 oz., on April 30, 2011. Reps for the singer told press, “[Her husband] Nick [Cannon] was very nervous and Mariah was completely calm.” Just a few days later she announced their names, Moroccan, for the room in which Cannon proposed and Monroe, after her idol, Marilyn.
Penélope Cruz & Baby Leo Encinas
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, 36, became a first time mommy to baby boy Leo Encinas on January 25, 2010—just days before daddy Javier Bardem found out he was nominated for an Oscar! At the time reps for the glamorous couple said "Penélope and Javier welcomed their first son into their family and both parents and baby are doing great."
Alana de la Garza & Baby Kieran
Half-Mexican Alana De la Garza, who is best known for her role as A.D.A Connie Rubriosa on the original Law & Order, gave birth to a baby boy named Kieran Thomas Roberts September 28, 2010. He was born at a healthy 9 lbs, 3 oz and an ecstatic Alana, 34, gushed to Latina.com at the time: “He is here! I’m in love!” Her husband, writer Michael Roberts, is the proud papa.
Julieta Venegas & Baby Girl
39-year-old Mexican singer Julieta Venegas gave birth to a baby girl on August 12, 2010. Reps confirmed, "She is the mother of a precious baby girl. They are perfectly well and there were no complications.” Julieta has spoken about the birth, which happened at home with a midwife, but has refused to disclose the name of the baby or the father.
