LBD Rules the Red Carpet of 2011 Billboard Music Awards

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards which took place in the Sin City of Vegas is not just about the battle of the songs in the music charts, but the night was also the battle of who wore the best timeless “little black dress”!

I’m certain that these women didn’t agree to wear similar color of dresses just to flatter the crowd right? nor that they have similar fashion designers too.

But as always, these female fashionistas lit up the red carpet as they parade their LBD in their own unique ways:

Fergie Ferguson in Max Azria. The Black Eyed Peas leading lady Fergie Ferguson rocked a whole new look in the 2011 Billboard Music Awards! Aside from this futuristic strappy leather mini black dress by Max Azria Atelier, she debut a blonde hair do that illuminates her beauty while performing on stage.

Selena Gomez in Dolce and Gabbana. This cute Bieber babe is now in the limelight when she donned this attention grabbing high-slit cut-out Dolce and Gabbana black dress paired with ravishing red stiletto with bow adornment that brings out the full pledge woman charisma in her. Because of this sultry look together with her long straight hair she was attributed to be the young Angeline Jolie.

 

Kylie Minogue in Alexander Mcqueen. The petite 42 year old Australian pop singer opted for a more sophisticated look in that Alexander Mcqueen mini dress with long sleeves paired with black fringed booties.

Nicole Kidman in Dolce and Gabbana. The sweet Mama Mia Nicole Kidman opted to dazzle the crowd in that urbane floor sweeping gown finishes up with a cute side braid. I guess she really wanted to give the floor to the teenage pop star Selena Gomez who also wore a Dolce and Gabbana black dress but the sexier version.

Britney Spears in Hervé Léger. Britney nailed a show stopping super mini black and roared the crowd as she performs with Rihanna on stage. Although she was rumored to a malfunction lip-sync, she manages to finish her performance with a standing ovation crowd.

Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott in a Mandalay Dress. The female lead singer of the trio country music band Lady Antebellum shows off her curves in a classic cut mini black dress with a semi-precious stone neckline. The group took home the Top Country Song Award!

Beyonce in Lanvin. The biggest winner of the night Beyonce Knowles who was awarded with the prestigious Billboard Millennium Award opted to a sexy body hugging mini black dress with long sleeves and over 75 carats of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds on her neckline. While it was true that she was no longer under her father’s recording umbrella, Beyonce was still honored by father Matthew Knowles in a teary message while her mother Tina Knowles was the one handing the award to her.

Not only that, First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Bono, The-Dream, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Barbara Streisand and her sister Solange also showed their love and appreciation to Beyonce by giving some words of love to her through a video montage. She finishes her speech with words to her hubby Jay-Z. "I love me some Jay-Z!"

LBD indeed ruled the night of the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Who do you think rocked the LBD best?
