Sofia Vergara Named New Face of COVERGIRL!

We could not think of anyone easier, breezier or more beautiful than Colombian actress Sofia Vergara so we can't say we're in the least bit surprised that she has been named the newest face of COVERGIRL cosmetics!

She just tweeted her big announcement: "My BIG news!! So happy to be the new @covergirl !!!#spon"
The Modern Family actress and mother, 38, is currently shooting her first ever campaign for the cosmetics company for advertisements that will debut in January 2012. She will be representing some brand new products that Cover Girl is introducing.

"I have loved playing with makeup ever since I was a little girl," Vergara said in a statement. "And now, I am so honored to join the line up of extraordinary women that are and have been COVERGIRLs, and to be a part of a brand that is so committed to helping women look and feel beautiful."

Sofia has been having an amazing year! She was nominated for a Golden Globe and Emmy for her work on her hit TV comedy, was named one of People magazine's 50 most beautiful people and has been recognized by both the Hollywood Reporter and Billboard as one of the most infuential Latinas in Hollywood.
