Eva's lesbian kiss with Kate del Castillo is a hit with film fest fans

"What can I tell you? It's like any other scene, except where there was a man, now there's a woman. What do you do, really?" del Castillo said, during an interview with Televisa Espectáculos. This isn't the first time del Castillo plays a lesbian role, as fans of hers remember her character Teresa Mendoza in the hugely popular Spanish soap 'La Reina del Sur.'

Longoria found the experience of playing a role alongside del Castillo incredible, she said. Longoria plays a woman who is left in charge of a small town in Latin America after all the men in the town are drafted into a guerrilla group.

"In the film Kate's and my character fall in love. These were very special scenes for me because I got the chance to work with such an incredible actress, whom I'd wanted to work with," Longoria said.
Del Castillo also fielded questions about her marriage to actor Aaron Diaz, which is rumored to be in the rocks. Del Castillo denied emphatically that she is separated from her husband.

"No, no it's not true. When we have something to say about it, we will. ..."
Longoria also dodged questions about her involvement with Penelope Cruz's little brother, Eduardo, saying, "Life is better right now without men. Right now I don't need a man in my life."

Penelope’s Black Dress for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Premieres is Fashion Faux Pas?

Penelope Cruz is a certified black dress aficionada as this was her favorite color whenever she attended red carpet events. She was always looking lovely whenever she donned a black dress that really accentuates her admirable figure.

But this time around, it seems that her favorite black dress that she wore during her latest movie with best friend co-star Jonny Dep to the premiere of  Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides didn’t get the solid 100% applause from the web commentators and from the fashion enthusiasts.

Both positive and negative comments were thrown against the dress she rocked during the premiere night of the movie held at Disneyland, California. She was wearing a off the shoulder feathery fishtail black Marchesa gown that perfectly curves her hour glass figure.

 Some said that the dress was lovely and really glamorous.
“I love how Penelope looks – she brings classiness to whatever she does. This dress shows off her stunning figure and looks really glamorous too. Penelope has finished off her look with a great updo hairstyle, dangling silver earrings and pretty natural, subtle makeup. Another triumphant ensemble that unlike a POTC film, doesn’t get boring after looking at it for 5 minutes,” 

It was indeed a show stopping gown as one major site commented “It's an unusually dramatic piece for a movie premiere—plus, a style that the new mamacita just can't quit—but there's no doubting Pen looks gorgeous (if we don't count the ponytail fail)”

A huge fan of hers,  admires her look by saying, “Her low-neck black dress which hugged her curves perfectly and gave no indication that she had recently given birth to baby boy Leo”

But another said that this is just a same old style of dress the actress dons every red carpet event.

“She basically wears the same style of black dress with just a different texture!” as per one commentator.

 Others commented that she was overly dressed while her co-stars are just in their plain casual dresses especially the lead character Johnny Depp who wore a very relaxed casual attire.

More so, this particular dress that she wore at the Moscow premiere of the movie gained double criticism throughout the blogosphere. Some really commented very negatively like this

“Yikes! Penélope transforms from hot young mom to sad old maid in this high-neck velvet Emilio Pucci dress at the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere in Moscow”

Someone posted, “Penelope Cruz looked like she wearing one of the Pirates costumes at a photocall It's not a very spring-like dress, but we get the reference to Russia.”

“It’s going to be a very long and boring promo tour if Penelope doesn’t start mixing things up. She looks awful! That huge bow distracts me from a dress that could have been nice. It looks better on the model. It looks so heavy on Penelope. And black. For God’s sake does she know that there are other colours out there?” a blogger named Lil said.

Elle says: I don’t understand why Penelope insists on wearing black! She looks a lot older in this photo too… She’s such a beauty who looked absolutely gorgeous wearing pinks and reds in “Woman on Top”, I wish she would go back to colour soon! (Plus, I really don’t think those bangs suit her that much either)..ok rant over haha.

Best Dressed: 2011 Met Costume Institute Gala

The biggest night in fashion didn't disappoint — Zoe Saldana was a ray of light in Calvin Klein, Jennifer Lopez was a showstopper in Gucci and Salma Hayek continued to pay homage to Alexander McQueen. The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" gala was a night of stunning fashion and beautiful stars.

Jennifer Lopez showed the other attendees how it is done when she arrived in this fuschia Gucci halter gown with a matching floral shrug and clutch.

Penelope Cruz: The Very First Spanish Actress to get a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

It was no surprise that Penelope Cruz will definitely get her Hollywood Walk of Fame star because of her superb acting career and undeniably beautiful face. But there is beyond that she must be proud of, and that is of becoming the very first Spanish actress to receive a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The unveiling ceremony of her star took place on Friday, April 1, at 11:30 am in front of the El Capitan Theatre, 6834 Hollywood Boulevard, in which she was proudly joined in with her husband Javier Bardem and the cast of her latest movie with Johnny Depp “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” set to be released in May 20, 2011. Renowned movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Rob Marshall were also there to show their support to Penelope.

The Latina actress dressed in a body fitting 3/4 length sleeve purple dress from  L’Wren Scott Fall 2011 collection graciously accepted her star and acknowledge the day "a very special day that I will always remember."

The ceremony was really touching and humorous at the same time because of the message Penelope addressed to her long time friend and co-star Johnny Depp.

“I want to thank the man with the hat. Let me tell you about the man with the hat. I came to Los Angeles for the first time in 1994, I spoke no English. I only knew how to say two things, two sentences. One was, ‘How are you?’, the other one was, ‘I want to work with Johnny Depp. In the last 10 years I have worked with him twice and that has improved my English, so now I know how to say, ‘I want to work with Johnny Depp again!’”said Penelope

After being in the film industry for 20 years in a row, all her hard work has paid off.
This honorable merit is her “second firsts” in her fruitful acting career as she was also the first Spanish actress to win the covetous Academy Award in 2008.

Penelope Cruz indeed has proven that she is not just a pretty face with a strange American accent, modeling for renowned fashion and cosmetic brands like Mango, Ralph Lauren and L'Oréal but a versatile actress that can play her roles that are required in the movies effectively. She is one true exemple that your accent is no big deal at all when you can definitely blow their mind with your excellent acting skills.

 Penelope just gave birth weeks ago, but surprisingly she is already back in the limelight showing off her sexy post partum figure as she took a glamour pose for the latest Hollywood Stars portfolio as “Belle” of the famous Disney creation “Beauty and the beast”.

            The Spanish extraordinaire beauty seems like a real like princess in that canary-yellow ball gown, a copy cat dress that the animated Belle donned in the movie. The dress perfectly fit to Penelope and her curly hair made her portray well the charming and sophisticated “Belle”.

In that tableau, the “Beast” has already transformed in his handsome prince self, played by Jeff Bridges and has swept Penelope’s feet away. But I guess, a salsa dance may not seem appropriate for their dresses, but rather a sweet mellow song with lyrics all about love!

Penelope may be posing with a different prince in that picture, but her real life prince is Javier Bardem.

According to one reputable source that Longoria, 35, sparked rumours she had moved on from the break-up with Cruz's singer sibling after they were spotted together on the morning of Christmas Eve at the actress' Los Angeles home. The Desperate Housewives star filed for divorce from her basketball star husband Tony Parker in November, citing irreconcilable differences. Reports suggest the TV beauty decided to end her three-year marriage over allegations Parker had been unfaithful. Eve representative told that they deny the romance, they are just friends. We are looking forward that Eva Longoria will dashing her love romance this year.
