Arnold Schwarzenegger Maria Shriver Divorce: Arnold Amends Spousal Support Filing

LOS ANGELES — Arnold Schwarzenegger has amended a divorce filing and withdrawn a request that a judge terminate Maria Shriver's rights to spousal support.

The actor and former California governor's filing replaces a document he submitted last week that also indicated he wanted Shriver to pay her own attorney's fees. The amended response filed Monday in Los Angeles states Schwarzenegger is also willing to pay his estranged wife's attorney.

The former couple's 13-year-old son has been released from the hospital after a body-boarding accident on June 17 left him with a collapsed lung.

Shriver filed for divorce July 1. Her petition to end the couple's 25-year-marriage came weeks after Schwarzenegger revealed he fathered a child with a member of his household staff years ago.

Schwarzenegger does not want to pay spousal support

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap) - Arnold Schwarzenegger won't be winning any husband of the year awards.

The actor and former California governor is trying to get out of paying spousal support to his soon-to-be ex-wife, Maria Shriver, according to court papers obtained by TheWrap Thursday.

In a court filing, Robert Kaufman, an attorney for the "True Lies" star, asked a judge to suspend court-ordered payments to Shriver.

Shriver and Schwarzenegger announced they were separating in May after 25 years of marriage. Shortly after the split, the Los Angeles Times revealed that the actor had fathered an out-of-wedlock child with his housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena.

As the couple does not have a pre-nuptial agreement, Shriver is entitled to half of Schwarzenegger's assets. In the filing, Kaufman indicates that the value of the action star's real estate and other holdings remain to be determined.

It is expected that they will reach a settlement out of court.

Schwarzenegger is seeking joint custody of their 17-year-old son Patrick and 13-year-old son Christopher.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Secretly Visits Son with Mildred Baena

Arnold Schwarzenegger has spent time recently with the son he had out-of-wedlock, RadarOnline.com reports.  The former California governor whose intimate affair with his former housekeeper Mildred Baena was revealed earlier this year, has visited her and their son Joseph secretly.  A source said that Schwarzenegger wants to spend time with his 13-year-old Joseph, who was born five days apart from another son he has with Maria Shriver.  Shriver filed for divorce last week after 25 years of marriage with Schwarzenegger.

According to the source, 50-year-old Baena and Joseph visited Schwarzenegger’s Brentwood, Calif. Mansion within the last few weeks.  The father and son reportedly bonded over Schwarzenegger’s car collection.

"Joseph loves his dad’s car collection.  He loves cars, and Arnold has driven his son around his gated Brentwood neighborhood,” the source said.  “Arnold hopes Joseph will be able to return to school this fall without cameras following him.”

Maria Shriver Files for Divorce From Arnold Schwarzenegger

There's no going back for Maria Shriver.

The former first lady of California has filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger after 25 years of marriage and who knows how many unsettling revelations, E! News confirmed Friday. The estranged power couple have four children together, ages 13 to 21.

Shriver cited the ever-humbling "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, but alas, pretty much everyone with electricity knows those two little words are laden with even more meaning than usual.

According to the petition filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Shriver is asking for spousal support and joint custody of their minor children, 17-year-old Patrick and 13-year-old Christopher. There reportedly was no prenuptial agreement so, if that's the case, the duo's assets will be split down the middle, per California law.

Shriver has stipulated that she does not want to pay support to Schwarzenegger, but it would take quite the pair of cojones for him to ask for that, wouldn't it?

Not long after Schwarzenegger's last day as California governor came in January, Shriver moved out of their Brentwood home and into a Beverly Hills hotel. They announced their separation on May 9 and, the following week, the Governator turned Sperminator admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock.

It turned out that he hit close to home.

His mistress was identified as the family's former housekeeper, Mildred Patricia "Patty" Baena, and a quick dig through public records turned up the child's birth certificate. The paperwork also revealed that the boy was born five days after Arnold and Maria's youngest child, Christopher.

Their oldest kids, Katherine and Patrick, switched their surnames from Schwarzenegger to Shriver on Twitter the following day.

Photos were promptly unearthed showing Schwarzenegger and Baena's not-quite-ex-husband hugging at the boy's christening. Rogelio de Jesus Baena claimed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he only just found out that the now 13-year-old kid was his son, but Patty then threatened to sue E.T. for airing lies. She maintains that Baena, whom she moved to divorce in 2008, not only knew the truth for years but also has a history of infidelity and never supported her, the child in question or another son they have together.

Patty ultimately gave her side of the sordid story to the U.K. rag Hello, saying that she confessed the affair to Shriver when her former boss asked about it "point blank."

"She was so strong," she recalled. "She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn't Arnie's fault, that it takes two."

Regardless, one revelation begets another (or several), and sure enough, another alleged Schwarzenegger fling hired the Mistress of Mistress Representation, Gloria Allred, and gave an interview to Extra. The California Attorney General's Office is also supposedly gearing up to investigate with the stalled Terminator ever misused public money for his own illicit agenda. Schwarzenegger lawyer Marty Singer has blasted allegations of professional wrongdoing as absurd and motivated by profit.

Shriver enlisted the services of top-flight L.A. divorce attorney Laura Wasser, an accomplice to many a celebrity split over the years, while Schwarzenegger hired the similarly reputable Robert Kaufman (Aniston vs. Pitt or Simpson vs. Lachey, anybody?) for his side of the table.

The opposing sides reportedly met up way in advance of the official filing to start hammering out what we presume will be many, many details.

Arnold And His Love Child On Father’s Day

It must be somewhat strange to be Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mildred Baena’s “love” child this Father’s Day. Think about it, you’re 13 years old and just discovered that your father is not only your mother’s long-time employer, not only an international movie star, not only the former governor of California, but… the Terminator.

I have no idea whether Arnold and the boy, identified in Hello! magazine as Joseph, are going to develop a relationship. Based on what has been said in the press thus far, and what Baena told Hello!, the boy has only known that Arnold is his father for the past year. When she finally broke the news, his succinct response was, “Cool!”

Things might be “cool” for now, but I wonder how cool they’ll stay. I myself grew up in a somewhat parallel situation to Joseph. No, my father isn’t a celebrity. Yes, I always knew his identity. But my parents separated so quickly after my birth that I never really knew my father. I didn’t once grow up in the same household with him. He also married another woman and I have three half-siblings. Joseph has four half-siblings, Arnold’s children with Maria Shriver.

My half-siblings, just like Joseph’s, grew up in a state of luxury compared to my upbringing—and they were, as I suppose they should have been—always my father’s first priority. I would remember having phone calls with my father wherein one of his younger children would begin talking to him, or crying, or yelling about something, and he would essentially forget that I was on the line while he dealt with them. I remember that I would go visit them and be jealous of their tightly knit family unit, and somewhat resentful of their large house and life of ease and privilege.

Joseph, once he gets past “cool,” might have some of the same feelings. Like it or not, Arnold’s other children are always going to have a closer relationship with Arnold than he will have, and they will get a leg up in the world, financially and otherwise, that he may not get. Additionally, he might have to live with the knowledge that his existence helped tear the Schwarzenegger family apart. May his half-siblings maybe even resent him because of this?

Today, my father and I are fairly close. Not remotely as close as he is to his other three children, but that is understandable. My father and I don’t usually celebrate Father’s Day, but in a few weeks we’re going to make a short trip together and I’ll buy him dinner.

Meanwhile, my thoughts go out to Joseph. Every child would like his or her father in their life in some capacity, and I hope that Arnold and his son by Baena are able to develop a meaningful relationship. It would be “cool.”

The Latina Behind the Arnold Schwarzenegger Sex Scandal

The mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger's illegitimate love child has been revealed. 50-year-old Mildred Patricia Baena (who identifies herself as Latina on a social network) worked for the Schwarzenegger family for 20 years and was pregnant with Arnold's son at the same time Maria Shriver was pregnant with their youngest son.

Mildred, also known as Patty, worked as a housekeeper and assistant for the family and told sources that the reason she stayed was because she wanted to put in her 20 years in order to be able to retire with severance. Baena was also married at the time, but she divorced her husband in 2008. She has three other children.

"I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family," Schwarzenegger said on Tuesday when he finally admitted to press that he had fathered a child out of wedlock."There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

The former mistress, and former housekeeper, of Arnold Schwarzenegger (63) is Mildred Patricia Baena (50), aka Patty Baena. The couple had a son together, but his identity is not being revealed, although identifying his mother makes it easy to find out who the son is, especially since he looks just like Arnold. The boy, who is 10 years-old lives with his mother, and three other children, in a 4 bedroom house with a pool several hours away from Los Angeles.

While working the past 20 years for Arnold, Baena made $1,200 per week. After she got pregnant she did not tell Arnold the boy was his, until the boy was already a toddler. It appears that although the couple were having s*x in the house while Maria Shriver was away, Arnold thought she was either on the pill or had her tubes tied. Despite the shock of having a son, Arnold was very generous in how he took care of Baena, and their son.

Now that the boy is known publicly, hopefully he can spend more time with his father. Although some media outlets are not revealing the boy’s identity, by revealing the mother, they have already given the boy’s identity away, and his mother posted pictures of Arnold’s son on MySpace, and those are still available for the world to see. There is no reason for anyone to be ashamed of such a handsome and smart looking young man.

Rather than attacking Arnold, it would be better to support a father and son getting to know each other better, and for the boy to meet his brothers and sisters. This young man should not be made to feel ashamed he is Arnold’s son. What’s done is done, so now it is important to give Arnold and the boy some support.

Maria has already made her own decision about her relationship with Arnold, and I hope she doesn’t make this a public specticle, because the person who will feel the worst will be the young man, and that is completely unnecessary. If Maria has something to say it is better to tell Arnold privately to avoid hurting this innocent young man with an act of revenge, like her plan to go on Oprah to "tell her story." We already know the story. Mariah should encourage the young man to get to know his father and siblings, and direct her anger only at Arnold.

Despite the fact Arnold makes mistakes, just like we all do so he is human, this young man should be very proud to have such an accomplished father as Arnold. I hope Arnold’s son gets the same opportunities all of Arnold’s other children currently enjoy in their lives. It might turn out that this young man may accomplish a lot more in his life than all of Arnold’s other children do, so let’s make sure he does not suffer because of a relationship between his father and mother we do not fully understand

Insiders 'Not Surprised' By Arnold Schwarzenegger Love Child

Political insiders and former colleagues of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed a variety of reactions to the news of Schwarzenegger's love child Tuesday, with several telling FOX411.com that the revelation did not come as a surprise.

Last week, Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver announced they were separating after 25 years of marriage. On Tuesday, he announced that he had fathered a child out of wedlock with a woman who worked for him for 20 years.

"There have been rumors swirling around for years, citing a number of incidents regarding Arnold Schwarzenegger's infidelity,” California-based publicist Angie Meyer, who works closely with the California GOP, told FOX411’s Pop Tarts. "This comes as a complete surprise to no one – especially those closest to the ex-Governor's innermost circles."

A Republican political insider on Capitol Hill concurred.

“So far, not much surprise here,” said our source.

Arnold Schwarzenegger joins our list of leading men with wandering eyes.

However, according to another staffer who previously worked with the California Republican Party, many others were indeed shocked when news broke of the former governor’s illegitimate child.

“It’s a total surprise to me, I'm seeing some pretty cold reactions regarding this,” said the staffer.

And even in Hollywood, where extramarital affairs and sex scandals are the norm, some experts weren’t convinced that his acting career would recover.

“It’s outrageous. I’ve represented 58 academy award winners its one of the most outrageous scandals since Woody Allen in 1992. I think it’s even worse than that. It’s almost Shakespearean in its tragic capacity,” said veteran publicist Michael Levine, who first met the “Terminator” star 25 years ago. “I think his Hollywood career will be injured by it, because when you go to see one of his films, half of the people in the audience are women.”

Two of Schwarzenegger and Shriver's grown children also weighed in.

“Some days you feel like s**t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet i love my family till death do us apart,” his son Patrick, 17, wrote on the social networking site Twitter.

“This is definitely not easy but I appreciate your love and support as i begin to heal and move forward in life.I will always love my family,” daughter Katherine, 21, tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

Katherine Schwarzenegger recently wrote the book "Rock What You've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner Beauty."
